The Dental Team Education Centre and Reveal Clear Aligners recently hosted an exciting Reveal Aligner Course in Manchester on February 24th, 2024, marking a significant milestone with a few spots opened to external delegates for the first time.

Attendees gathered at the prestigious INNSiDE by Meliá Manchester for an engaging, in-person event where they immersed themselves in the latest aligner technology along with the master of Clear Aligners, Dr Guy Wells. The Reveal Aligner Course provided a dynamic environment to explore how these innovative aligners can dramatically enhance patients’ smiles and boost their self-assurance.

This incredible collaboration with Reveal, brought together 18 delegates. Richard and Neil from Optident provided invaluable support, alongside our guest speaker from ILS.

Following the course, all delegates have successfully organised multiple open days, thanks to continued post-course support from Richard. This support included guidance on prescriptions, iTero/Trios scanning, and training on sales techniques.

Expert speakers led comprehensive sessions covering various aspects of Reveal Clear Aligners, from theory to hands-on application. Participants delved into topics such as the philosophy of minimally invasive aesthetic and interceptive restorative dentistry, as well as detailed insights into diagnosis, assessment, and case selection.

Key highlights included practical training on arch evaluation, space calculation, and Inter-Proximal Reduction (IPR), alongside crucial discussions on occlusal planning, retention strategies, and troubleshooting potential issues. Attendees also gained invaluable knowledge on clear aligner attachment placement and integrating orthodontics with restorative dentistry for lasting patient outcomes.

The course not only empowered dentists to confidently introduce orthodontics with removable appliances to their practice but also emphasized ethical and safe treatment approaches. Participants benefited from ongoing mentoring, clinical support, and governance to ensure the highest standards of patient care and professional development.
